Jailed for a cause

The GFWC Manistique Women’s Club raised almost $2,000 during its “Jail ’n Bail” fundraiser at Folkfest. The “fugitives”, including Sen. Tom Casperson, helped raise money for the club’s fountain project. “Hammy the Clown” served as the jailer while entertaining kids with balloon animals. The club also served pies, donated by club members and residents, as a separate fundraiser.
