Mackinac Bridge will have no toll increase

ST. IGNACE – The Mackinac Bridge Authority recently voted to keep 2014 toll rates at the 2012 level. The decision also rolls back commuter costs to 2012 rates.

“As promised in 2007, we reviewed our financial data and have postponed any toll increase for at least one year and will re-evaluate in late 2014 to determine if further action is required,” explained MBA Board Chair William H. Gnodtke.

At the December 2007 MBA Board meeting, incremental toll increases were implemented between 2008 and 2013.
