Blown over

At left, a pontoon owned by Bob and Karen Poser is shown overturned in Indian Lake following high winds last Thursday. The pontoon had been on a boat lift and was salvaged from the water with the help of a winch and four Indian Lake residents. Middle, a semi tractor-trailer is shown tipped on its side on the Mackinac Bridge last Thursday evening. The driver was uninjured and the bridge undamaged after a fast-moving front swept through the Straits of Mackinac. Winds at the Mackinac Bridge reportedly went from over 20 mph to gusts up to 79 mph. At right, a tree is shown after being blown over onto Main Street last Thursday.
