Above, the third Glenbrook South High School group from Glenbrook, Ill., is shown working on Habitat for Humanity – Hiawathaland projects recently. The crew is tackling two homes, side by side, on the same street where the organization’s recent Women Build took place. According to Operations Manager Karen Skiles, this is a “neighborhood revitalization” in which even neighbors are helping. In fact, neighborhood residents have given plants and loaned tools to the work group; one person gave the students $50 worth of ice cream coupons in appreciation for the work done. The group is the third of four groups from the high school coming to the area this summer to work on Habitat projects.
