Virginia L. Baley Virginia L. Baley Virginia “Ginger” Lee Seaman Baley, 78, of 4702 S. Riverside Dr., Sault St. Marie, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, June 23, 2013, at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique, Mich.

Virginia was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Calspar (Mueller Township/Gulliver), Mich., in Schoolcraft County, the daughter of Linton and Helen (Tennossen) Seaman and was a graduate of Manistique High School.

Her family and friends affectionately called her “Ginger”. She was of Irish and English decent.

Ginger grew up in Gulliver where she met and married Duane F. Baley on Aug. 6, 1955.

Their loving union produced four daughters, Dawn (Ronald) Hausker, Sheila (the late Richard) Waggoner, Debra (Thomas) Johnson and Victoria (David) Guckian.

Virginia also leaves behind one sister, Evelyn (the late Peter) Barrow; one brother, Peter “Butch” Seaman; 11 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her son-in-law

Richard Waggoner; sisters, Carol Arrowood and Julie Edwards; and brothers, Kenneth Seaman and Richard Seaman.

Services are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 205 East 5 Mile Road (east of M-129), Sault Ste. Marie. Light refreshments will follow.

In lieu of flowers, a modest donation to the Kingdom Hall will be appreciated.

Messier-Broullire Funeral Home of Manistique is assisting the family with arrangements.
