Fair association will offer recycling program

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Fair Association, in cooperation with 5R Processors, Ltd., will be holding a recycling fair on July 27 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the fair building in Manistique.

Residents of Schoolcraft County may participate to get rid of unwanted electronic items free of charge. Accepted items include: monitors/terminals, scanners, CPU’s, laptops, docking stations, copy machines, fax machines, printers, TV’s, VCR’s, phones telecommunication equipment, audio visual equipment, typewriters, fax cartridges, white goods (Freon contained is $15 charge), calculators, mainframe equipment, mid-range equipment, networking equipment, circuit board, wire/cabling, aluminum, cash registers, keyboards/mice, stereo equipment, microwaves, uninterrupted power supplies, video boards, miscellaneous electronic equipment and printer cartridges.

5R Processors, Ltd. recycles all materials through state of the art end-of-life processing. They reuse parts and components and reclaim all materials used to manufacture electronic equipment through the de-manufacturing process.
