Annual ‘Pioneer Day’ to take place Saturday

MANISTIQUE – The public is invited to attend the 9th annual Pioneer Day on June 29. The event takes place in Pioneer Park, next to Manistique’s historic water tower.

The event kicks off at 10 a.m. A craft show, along with a used book sale, will run until 3 p.m.

Features throughout the day include: musical entertainment; an early American encampment with demonstrations and music; book signings by the Manistique senior writers of the “Just Yesterday” series, and a Schoolcraft County Chamber of Commerce bake sale.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Schoolcraft County Historical Society.
