William L. Ansell
He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Manistique, the son of George and Adele (Cota) Ansell. He attended school in Garden and at Puffy Creek and was a graduate of the Cooks High School.
Bill was formerly employed at Fisher Body Co. in Lansing, Mich., and at the Caterpillar Co. and Allis- Chalmers in Milwaukee, Wis. He later worked as a commercial fisherman on the Great Lakes and in Alaska, and retired from working on building construction.
He enjoyed driving stock car in the Milwaukee Circuit and being a Senior Companion. He also enjoyed playing in the pool leagues, fishing and traveling.
Bill is survived by his sister, Lois Beaudre Saxon of Garden; brother, Francis (Denise) Ansell of Garden; son, Greg Jenerou of Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father,
Adele and David Thill; his father, George Ansell; sisters, Geraldine Betts and Sally Aurhammer; and brothers, Lloyd Ansell and Homer Ansell.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, at New Garden Cemetery in Garden Township. Pastor Darrel Pizzala will officiate.
