Scholarly honors



Manistique High School senior Harley Troxler, middle, was recently presented with the first half of her $1,000 Charles Burley Memorial Scholarship by Amy Blanchard, right, and Kayla Matchinski of Limestone Federal Credit Union. In order to qualify for this award, applicants must pursue a degree in education, business, or accounting. Troxler plans to attend Lake Superior State University to study business and family law. She participated in 4-H and coached Emerald Elementary youth basketball for two years. She was on the National Honor Society, a part of Girl Scouts of America, YETI, volleyball, and Friends helping Friends.
