Marquette food co-op hosting farm tours

MARQUETTE – The Marquette Food Co-op is hosting the eighth annual Farm Tours – an opportunity to visit local farms, meet farmers and see where and how food is grown in the U.P. The tour is part of the Marquette Food Co-op’s ongoing effort to connect people with their food and educate the public about the importance of buying and supporting local farmers and growers.

Twelve local farms, including Seeds and Spores Family Farm, Shady Grove Farm, Guindon Farms, and Rock River Farm, will offer tours.

The next tour will be of Guindon Farm in Cornell on June 26.

Visit www.marquettefood.coop for more information on the tours.
