Claude A. Wilcox

SURING, Wis. - Claude A. Wilcox, 69, of Suring, Wis., passed away on Thursday, June, 6, 2013, following a two year battle with cancer.

He was born Oct. 6, 1943 to the late Lyle and Marie (Lancour) Wilcox. Claude attended Manistique High School where he met his high school sweetheart Pat Snyder, who he married Feb. 4, 1961. Claude drove taxi for numerous Taxi Services in the Milwaukee, Wis., area for about 10 years. They ran Claude & Pats Upholstery in the Suring area for many years. He enjoyed, camping, fishing and hunting.

Claude is survived by his wife, Pat of Suring; daughter, Brenda (Mick) School; two sons, Claude D. (Patty) Wilcox and Bryan L. Wilcox; two brothers, Ray (Connie) Wilcox and Lyle Wilcox; two sisters, Threasa (Duane) Arneson and Patricia Whitcomb; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Whitcomb; sister-in-law, Vera Wilcox; and grandson, Peter Wilcox.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Twin City Baptist Church, 911 Elizabeth St., Marinette, WI on Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. Pastor Matt DeCleene will officiate.
