Center to offer music lessons

MANISTIQUE – Lake Effect Community Arts is offering a summer series of 30 minute individual music lessons on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. The series is open to students entering sixth grade through adults.

It will be held on Wednesday mornings and early afternoons at the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer in Manistique.

William Rinne, Manistique Community Orchestra director and Escanaba area music teacher is the instructor. Rinne is offering beginning and intermediate lessons on woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone), brass (trumpet, trombone, tuba, baritone, French horn) and percussion (drums). He is also available to teach advanced brass lessons.

Lessons begin on June 19 and continue through Aug. 28, with no lessons on July 3. The cost for the series of 10 individual lessons is $150, payable in three installments. A discounted price of $120 is offered for those who pay in full prior to the first lesson.
