Becky A. Kane

MANISTIQUE – Becky A. Kane, 52, of 148 North Fifth St., Manistique, Mich., passed away May 22, 2013, at her home in Manistiquefollowinga21/2year battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 20, 1961, in Manistique, the daughter of the late Charles C. and Dorothy F. (Scoon) Kane and was a lifetime resident.

She attended Manistique area schools and was a graduate of Manistique High School with the Class of 1979.

Becky spent her entire life, caring for others.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, baking, trying new recipes, and watching her favorite television program, Jeopardy. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and making people laugh. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sisters, Lois Kane, Cheryl Kane and Wendy Kane of Manistique, Nancy Rochefort of Escanaba, Mich. and Candy (Ron) Morton of Marinette, Wis.; brothers, Chuck Kane and David (Deb Gray) Kane of Manistique and Harry Kane of Coleman, Mich.; 16 nieces and nephews; several great and greatgreat nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece to be born this summer; along with many cousins. Becky is also survived by three very special young women whom she cared for since their births, Donna (Jim) Pericolosi of Kingsford, Mich., Corrina Lynts and Sam Lynts of Manistique.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pat Kane and her infant brother, Terry Kane; her sister, Sandra Collins; one infant nephew; and two infant nieces.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Messier- Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the Garfield Township Cemetery in Engadine, Mich., with Pastor Joseph Crowder officiating.
