Area democrats plan scramble

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Democratic Club will host a golf scramble on June 15. The scramble will take place at noon on the Nahma Golf Course.

The entrance fee is $100 for a team of four men, women or a combination of both. Half the proceeds from the 9-hole event will benefit Good Neighbors Services in Manistique.

Participants are encouraged to bring a bag of 15 non-perishable food items to be eligible for a special drawing.

There is space available for 18 teams, and while early registration is encouraged, teams may also sign up on the day of the scramble.

Two-person carts may be reserved in advance for $10 each by contacting the Nahma Golf Course, (906) 644-2648. Golfers may also bring their own carts at no additional charge.

Sponsorships for holes are still available at $100 for a full sponsorship or $50 to co-sponsor.

To register for the scramble or for information regarding the various hole sponsorship opportunities, contact Bill Anderson, (906) 644-2496 or email schoolcraftcountydems@gmail.com.
