SMH celebrates hospital week with honors, capsule

MANISTIQUE – Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital recently celebrated National Hospital Week by honoring its employees for years of service and burying a time capsule.

The capsule was buried, with the help of SMH CEO George Montgomery, at the site of the new hospital and will be opened in 50 years.

Employees honored for their years of service include:

Five years of service: Denise Ansell, Lynne Bohannon, Lisa Boudreau, Gail DeMars, Sharon Dyszel, Aaron Eagle, Greer Fish, Nancy Hubble, Sandra Hueter, Cathy Kaltz, Renee Knoph, Debra Lancour, Roxanne Paquette, Jessica Rochefort, Elizabeth Ross, Nissa Slater, Heather Smith, Lindsley Swanson, Charlene Thennes, and Dr. Gloria VanKlompenberg.

Ten years of service: Sharon Boyd, Kathy Chase, Vicki Dalgord, Cyndee Miskee, and Mary Noble.

Fifteen years of service: Scott Chartier, Amy Gould, Florence Demers, Kimberly McPhee, Randy Middledorf, Kathy Peterson, Susan Phillips, and Sally Rodman.
