OPEN FOR BUSINESS

The Manistique Farmers’ Market opened last Wednesday to an impressive 282 people – an opening day record. Above, shoppers pile in after the “opening bell” rang at 4 p.m. At left, a vendor looks on as a customer browses his booth. In conjunction with the market, a community celebration was held to acknowledge the city’s recent receipt of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundations Roadmaps to Health Prize.
