Pioneer Tribune photo Pioneer Tribune photo Manistique City Council recognized Ken Golat, Manistique Public Safety Director, for 35 years of service during their meeting Monday. “I was here when Ken started and he’s been a very significant member of our department for 35 years,” Mayor Dave Peterson said. “He was our go-to guy for investigation and he’s now the director and he’s doing an excellent job and he’s going to continue for a while.” According to City Manager Sheila Aldrich, Golat has long been an asset to the department. “Ken makes an excellent public safety director,” she said. “He’s extremely intelligent and very committed to the city – a pleasure to work with,” he said.
