MANISTIQUE – Out of the gate, the Manistique Emerald boys’ track and field team won the 3,200-meter relay, then added seven more first place finishes to win at home Tuesday. At the end of the day, the Emeralds tallied 77 points, followed by St. Ignace 60 and Newberry 37.

Following the 3,200, Kenner Broullire medaled, taking the 100-meter dash with a time of 11:58. With no one in sight, the Emerald senior also won the 300-meter hurdles, crossing the line at the 40:45 mark.

Ryan Ramey easily dominated the short distance events taking the 400-meter run with a time of 53.20 and the 200-meter run with a time of 23.83.

Rounding off the medal rounds for the Emeralds was the 1,600-meter relay team, who finished with a time of 3:44.67.
