Lake Effect to open for season

MANISTIQUE – The Lake Effect Art Gallery will be opening for its second season on May 24. The gallery will again showcase original art works of area artists.

A preview of this year’s artwork will be held on May 23 between 5 and 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome to attend. Gallery summer hours are Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The gallery is located at Trader’s Point and staffed by volunteers. There are currently over 40 pieces of artwork, half from local artists.
