New computer shop opens downtown

Owners combine experience for new store

MANISTIQUE – A group of local residents have banded together to create Manistique Computers, LLC. The business will be hosting its grand opening on May 1.

According to part-owner Dustin Denkins, the business, located downtown on Cedar Street, will offer computer servicing, network installation, and other computerrelated services for the public or businesses.

“We do everything from buying and selling computers to servicing and fixing,” he said. “You name it – anything technology related is our forte.”

Denkins is joined by Dan Edwards and Andrew Mason, who each, including Denkins, previously operated their own businesses. Their 56 years of combined experience will now be housed in one place, Denkins said.

The group boasts numerous degrees, as well as technical certifications, including: Comp TIA A+; Comp TIA Network+; Microsoft Certified Professional; IBM Certified System Administrator; and Certified Lotus Professional.

The business has been open since early 2013, but the new storefront officially open on May 1. It is located at 216 South Cedar Street, in front of the Manistique Radio Center.
