Peter P. Letson
SPOKANE, Wash. – Peter Paul Letson, (Pickaroon Pete), 69, of Spokane, Wash., passed away March 2, 2013.
Peter was born in Manistique, Mich., on June 28, 1943 to Albert and Josephine Letson. He graduated from Manistique High School with the class of 1961. After graduation, he worked in construction and joined the Air Force, serving for over 20 years. His second career was farming. He will always be remembered as Grandpa Pete with the big smile.
Peter is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathleen; his children, Peter Paul (Eleanor) Letson Jr., Bryan (Alicia) Leston, Josette (Kevin Arlt) Campbell, Dan (Courtney) Dale, Shawn Dale, Jaime Donoian, and Mary (Tim) Barbeau; siblings, Connie Letson, Carol (John) Turner, Gail McCarney, and Bernice Price; brothers-in-law, Frank Bielak, Howard Donoian, and Mike Donoian; sisters-in-law, Donna Letson, Gerry Letson, and Dorothy Letson; 15 grandchildren, Haley, Brian, Kelsey A., Emma, Christopher, Miriam, Sarah, Rebecca, Andrew, Zachary, Austin, Jesse, Amy, Kelsey D., Jaden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at Fairmont Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, Wednesday, March 6, at 1 p.m. A reception followed at Sons of Norway, 6710 N. Country Homes Blvd. at 2 p.m. Community cremation and funeral were held in Spokane, Wash.
