Marilyn V. Bielak
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – Marilyn V. Bielak, 85, passed into glory on January 13, 2013.
Marilyn was born in Manistique, Mich., on July 1, 1927, to Albert and Josephine Letson. The second of 11 children, Marilyn was her mother’s devoted helper and learned many of her homemaking skills in her early years.
At 19, Marilyn moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where she met Harl Forston; they married in 1946. Her son, Gary, was born the following year, followed by two more children, Mary and Dennis.
Marilyn was widowed in 1983, but on a pilgrimage to Fatima and Lourdes, Marilyn met Frank Bielak, with whom she fell in love and married the next year.
Though she had many accomplishments, we remember Marilyn because of her warm and generous and outgoing nature. She was a loving spouse and a devoted mother, always ready with a kind word and good meals. She practiced her hospitality and her house was always filled with love and laughter. Marilyn made the world a better place we, her family, are continually enriched by her life and her love.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Gary (Cindy), Dennis (Nareen); daughter, Mary (Tom) Fischer; nine grandchildren; sisters, Gail McCarney, Bernice Price, and Carol (John) Turner; brothers, Condrad and Peter; sisters-in-law, Donna Letson, Dorothy Letson, and Gerry Letson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harl; brothers, Jack, Dick, Wally, Mike, Paul and infant sister, Myrtle.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass was held Friday, January 18, at 2 p.m., at St. Germaine Catholic Church in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
