Bay College board seeks qualified applicants

ESCANABA – Bay de Noc Community College is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees created by the resignation of James R. Moberg. This term expires Dec. 31, 2016; however, the individual appointed will need to run to fill the remainder of the term at the November 2014 election.

The board will attempt to make an appointment at the Regular Board of Trustees meeting on April 17.

Consideration will be given to the individual’s interest in the college, his/her willingness and availability for devoting the necessary time to college affairs, as well as special skills and knowledge of the individual.

Any interested person should send a letter indicating interest and a resume to the board chair, William Lake or to the President of the college, Dr. Laura L. Coleman, Bay de Noc Community College, 2001 North Lincoln Road, Escanaba, MI 49829-2511, by March 25. Alumni association looking for nominations

ESCANABA – The Bay College Alumni Association is seeking nominations for its Alumni of the Year Award to be presented during the Awards Banquet on April 25.

This award was established in 1999 by the Alumni Association to recognize and honor an outstanding former graduate of Bay College; one who has made contributions to his or her career, the community and the college. The selection is based on the following criteria: education; leadership; service to the college and/or community; honors and awards; and distinction in the nominees career field. Nominees should exhibit leadership abilities.

Distinguished Alumni of the Year applications can be submitted online at www.baycollege.edu/ alumni or by contacting Vicki DeGrand at (906) 217-1700.

Nomination forms should be received by Bay College no later than March 8.
