Ridin’ relics

There were all kinds of sleds that showed up Saturday to ride in the event, but “Best of Show” at this year’s Long Riders Relic Ride for Charity was a 1970 Arctic Cat owned and restored by Rusty Anderson of Rapid River. Anderson, who is an event regular, also won the loud pipe contest. Right: “Worst of Show” went to Larry Shaft of Escanaba with his 1970 Herter. Below left: “Most Unique” belonged to Joe Bommacito of Petoskey. A crowd favorite, “The Bar” is a combination of parts that date back to 1901. Below right: The winner of the mystery sled was Manistique resident Todd Morgan. Morgan won a 1971 Skidoo.
