Bears slide by Rockets for win

COOKS - A 15-point effort by the Black Bears Cole Potvin including seven points in the final eight minutes of play led to a 45-44 win over the Rapid River Rockets at home last Friday for Big Bay de Noc.

Off a six point effort by Jake Pearson, the Rockets jumped out to a 10-7 lead at the end of the first quarter of play.

Six by Robert Metter helped the Rockets hold on to a 20-19 advantage at the break.

With five more by Metter in the third the Rockets pushed their lead to three going into the final eight minutes of play before Potvin and Tyler DeMars went to work combining for 13 of the Bears 15 points in the final period.

Big Bay- Potvin 15 points, De- Mars six, Loren Swayer six, Bobby Holmberg, Zach Pomeroy five points each, Nathan Dalgord and Brandon Rochefort four points each.
