Students in the Arts to be 3-day event in Feb.

MANISTIQUE – Manistique Middle and High School students will present the annual “Students in the Arts” beginning Feb. 6. The event will take place over the course of three days and feature both an art exhibit and drama presentation.

On Feb. 6, a two-dimensional art exhibit and open reception will be held in the Manistique School and Public Library from 5 – 7 p.m. First and second year art students will show their first semester portfolios, while “Mulligan’s Masters” will run continuously in the computer labs. Student musicians will be featured on the piano.

The art exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library operating hours and will be displayed for an indefinite amount of time after the event.

On Feb. 7 and 8, the middle school drama club will present the comedy, “Final Dress Rehearsal”, by Jack Frakes.

Each show is at 7 p.m. and will have different students playing the characters each night, due to large participation numbers in the club. The cost for each performance is $4 at the door.
