Erickson Center plans beginning yoga class

CURTIS – A yoga class series is beginning on Jan. 28 at the Erickson Center in Curtis. Classes will be held on Mondays from 6-7 p.m. through April 1.

No classes will be held on March 11 or 18. The fee is $48 for the series or $6 per drop-in.

Call (906) 596-9974 to register. Eight students must be registered to run the class. Credit cards can now be accepted over the phone for class registration fees.

Astronomy course to be offered by Sages

ESCANABA – An astronomy class will be offered by the Bay Sages beginning Feb. 8. The class will be offered in three sessions: Feb. 8, March 1 and April 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost of the class is $25. A minimum of 12 enrollees required. Bay Sages members and the general public may enroll.

Weapons licensing board meet delayed

MANISTIQUE – A meeting of the Concealed Weapon Licensing Board for Schoolcraft County set for Jan. 31 has been rescheduled for Feb. 4.

The meeting will take place in the prosecuting attorney’s office, room 209, in the Schoolcraft County Building at 1 p.m.
