Local woman sentenced for burglaries

Jenerou will serve maximum of 20 years

MANISTIQUE – A Manistique woman will serve a minimum of four years in prison for a string of burglaries committed last year.

Samantha Jo Jenerou, 22, of 853N Shunk Rd., was sentenced Thursday in 11th Judicial Circuit Court on three felony counts: home invasion, second degree; home invasion third degree; and home invasion first degree. The court ordered the sentences to run concurrently, meaning Jenerou will serve a minimum of 48 months and a maximum of 20 years.

She was credited for 221 days served in Schoolcraft County Jail and ordered to pay court fines and costs. She was also order to pay a joint restitution of $28,080.11 with the co-defendant in the case, Michael Alan Olsen. Jenerou originally faced 15 felony charges.
