Inland training planned

MANISTIQUE – The Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership will offer its inland lakeshore certification training, Certified Natural Shoreline Professional, in Manistique. Registration for the March training is open now.

The CNSP equips marine and landscape contractors with the tools needed to expand business services to better serve lakefront property owners looking for alternatives to sea walls, rock and turf at the water’s edge.

Those who successfully complete the certification will receive free promotion through the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership and its statewide network of natural shoreline educators.

The three-day classroom component takes place March 21–23, at the Comfort Inn in Manistique. The certification exam and one-day field component takes place on June 13 in Curtis near Newberry.
