U.P. tour planned for three Legion officials

LANSING – Three American Legion officials will lead a visit to 18 Upper Peninsula posts, units and squadrons beginning with Sault Ste. Marie Post 3 on Jan. 13. American Legion State Commander Thomas Brown of Oscoda, accompanied by American Legion Auxiliary State President Mary Anne Yuncker of Cedar Springs and Sons of The American State Commander Rodney Tolbert of St. Joseph will conclude the tour at Iron River Post 17 for the 2013 Upper Peninsula Mid-Winter Conference of American Legion Posts, Jan. 18-19.

In addition to Sault Ste. Marie and Iron River, tour stops include: Newberry, Munising, Little Lake, Marquette, Greenwood, Iron Mountain, Crystal Falls, L’Anse, Baraga, Lake Linden, Bergland, Wakefield, Watersmeet, and Stambaugh.

The leaders will also make official visits to the D.J. Jacobetti State Home for Veterans in Marquette on Jan. 14, and Iron Mountain’s Oscar Johnson VA Medical Center.
