MacPhails celebrate 50th


Mrs. and Mr. Donald MacPhail Mrs. and Mr. Donald MacPhail MANISTIQUE – Donald and Nancy MacPhail recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple exchanged wedding vows on Dec. 29, 1962, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique with Father Schreinger officiating the ceremony.

Raymond Reid served as the best man with Mary Pat Schuster serving as maid on honor.

John Miller and Cassie Krzyzanski were the groomsman and bridesmaid.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Kathleen Turan and Jerome Gregurash.

The couple has resided in Manistique for the past 50 years.

They have three children, Lori (Brian) Wood, Karla (Tim) Zellner, and Don (Amy Hastings) MacPhail, all also reside in Manistique.

They also have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Their anniversary was celebrated with a special dinner at the Big Springs Inn with their children and grandchildren.
