Bay College names fall art winners
ESCANABA – The Bay College art faculty has announced winners in this semester’s art student’s show in the Besse Center Gallery. The exhibits will be open for viewing until mid-January.
First-place winners are awarded purchase prizes. Their winning work becomes part of the college’s permanent collection. The collection is also available on Bay’s website.
This semester, blue ribbons went to Jeremy Huffman in painting; Caitlin Soulia in drawing; Marayha Sauve and Samantha Spiewak in pottery; Pat Kempf and Tonya Degrave in digital photography; Amy Gibbs in glass; and Rebecca Neubauer in electronic imaging.
Visitors to the Besse exhibit are also welcome to the Hartwig Gallery to see “Four Alumni Art Stars,” an exhibit of recent works by Zach Hall, Brady Nelson, Brian Burroughs, and Michele Dugree – former Bay art students who majored in art at universities.
