Bay offers DSLR course

Participants will learn basics of photography

ESCANABA – A Basic Digital Photography class for owners of DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) is being offered through the M-TEC at Bay College.

The course is scheduled to be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m., Jan. 15 through Feb. 19. The 16-hour course focuses on learning about various camera menu options and how each feature can be better utilized. Discussions include camera composition, white balance, resolution, ISO setting, compensation, and more. Two Jan. 26 and Feb. 9, are designated for an outside photography shoot activity with timeframe to be announced. Students will also be introduced to the basic uses of Photoshop Elements, the leading software in image editing.

Dave Amis, local photographer, is the instructor. Cost is $165. Class is limited to 12 students.
