Chamber lighting contest kicks off

Residents, businesses invited to take part

MANISTIQUE – Local residents and businesses are invited to face-off once again in the annual “Christmas Lighting Contest” sponsored by the Schoolcraft County Chamber of Commerce.

Home and business owners across the county have until Dec.11, to register for the contest. To sign up, pay the $5 entry fee at the chamber office located on U.S. 2.

A ballot listing all entries in both residential and commercial categories will be available after the deadline and will also appear in the Dec. 13 issue of the Pioneer Tribune.

Area residents can complete ballots until Dec. 18. Ballots can be dropped off at the chamber.

First, second and third prizes will be awarded in both categories. Winners will receive Manistique Merchants Association “Merchant Bucks” gift certificates.
