Winter hours set

NFS Manistique office changes times, days

MANISTIQUE – The Manistique District Office of the Hiawatha National Forest has reverted to winter hours. The office will only be open three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The three day-a-week schedule will remain in effect until mid- May 2013, at which time the office will resume summer hours.

Firewood permits and bough permits and Holiday Tree Tags will only be available for purchase on Wednesdays at the Manistique office. These permits will be available for purchase at the Rapid River Office five days a week.
