Suanne C. Stoken


Suanne C. Stoken Suanne C. Stoken Suanne C. Stoken, 65 of Appleton, Wis., died Tuesday Nov. 13, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

She was born in Manistique, Mich., April 21, 1947, the daughter of William and Sara (Osterhaut) Bradley. Suanne married Phillip Stoken in 1964, they later divorced.

Suanne worked as an administrative assistant at Appleton Medical Center for over 25 years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. Suanne loved horses, she would travel to horse shows around the state, and she volunteered her time and talent at Country Kids and Exceptional Equestrians, in DePere, Wis. Her greatest love came from spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters.

Suanne is survived by two daughters, Terri (Carl) Green of Freedom, Wis., and Jill Stoken (special friend, Mark Vander Zanden) of Appleton; two granddaughters, Aubrey and Erin; her mother, Sara Bradley of Manistique; sister, Kathy (Darryl) Peterson of Manistique; three brothers, Allan (Marilyn) Baker of Florida, Marshall (Susan) Bradley of Manistique, and Kern (Melanie) Bradley of Manistique; and her three very close friends, Val, Sharon, and Linda.

She was preceded in death by her father, William and her ex-husband, Phillip.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth Soblueter officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. until the hour of service.

Suanne’s family would like to thank all those that provided care and support during this time, especially Dr. Negrete for his exceptional care and concern.
