Grief workshop will center on holidays

MANISTIQUE – The second annual “Coping with Grief during the Holidays” workshop will take place on Dec. 2, from 3-5 p.m. The free workshop will be held at the Manistique Senior Center and is geared toward those who are coping with a recent or past loss.

The workshop will feature a viewing of Darcie Sims’ presentation, “Handling the Holidays”, followed by group discussion facilitated by Neil and Betty Hivala of Compassionate Friends of Escanaba.

GFWC nut and candy sale now underway

MANISTIQUE – The annual GFWC Manistique Women’s Club Terri Lynn candy and nuts sale is now underway.

Nuts and chocolates are now for sale at First Bank in Garden as well as the Manistique and Gulliver State Savings Bank branches, the Schoolcraft County Chamber of Commerce and Limestone Federal Credit Union. Suzy’s Shadow Box, 219 S. Cedar St. offers nut and granola selections.

Proceeds from the candy sale benefit the GFWC Manistique Women’s Club community projects.
