Cross country season coming to an end

MANISTIQUE – With the season winding down, the Emeralds cross country team has been preparing for the Mid-Peninsula Conference meet scheduled for today in Negaunee.

Looking to reclaim his first place title for the boys is Tyler Pomeroy.

New to the cross country scene for the girls is freshman Holly Blowers.

Competing in Gladstone on Oct. 11, Pomeroy finished ninth with a time of 17:52.

Blowers, marking her personal best time for the season, finished fifth with a time of 21:00.

The Emeralds’ last meet of the season will be U.P. Finals on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Munising.
