Board sets meet date

MANISTIQUE – A meeting of the Concealed Weapon Licensing Board for the County of Schoolcraft will be held on Oct. 18.

The meeting will take place in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, room 209, in the Schoolcraft County Building at 1 p.m.

Craft show planned

MANISTIQUE – The First Baptist Church will be holding its annual bazaar and craft show on Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The annual event features various local crafters, as well as crafters from the Munising and Naubinway areas. A bake sale will also be featured and lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If interested in participating in this year’s event, call 341-2814 for an application.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the church’s youth programs.

SCSA to hold meeting

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Snowmobile Association will hold its monthly meeting on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be held at Camel Riders Restaurant/Resort, 5609N Camel Rider Road in Wetmore.

Historial program set

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Historical Society will present a special program on the Christmas Tree Ship on Oct. 22. The program is part of the society’s “Fun Mondays” and will feature guest speaker, author Rochelle Pennington.

The program will be held at the First Baptist Church, 315 Walnut Street, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. A suggested donation of $5 will be accepted for admission. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch, however, coffee and dessert will be served.
