Bay College plans trip

ESCANABA – The Bay College Travel Club is planning a tour of Ireland, Wales, and London (with an optional Paris extension) in June. The nine-day trip will depart from Chicago on June 17 and return from London on June 25.

On Oct. 15, brief informational meetings will be held in Room 525.1, located in the college cafeteria on the Escanaba Bay College campus, at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m.

The cost of the tour for students under age 30 is $3,379 (based on quad occupancy). Cost for those over 30 is $3,589 (based on double occupancy). Participants may choose to upgrade their accommodations for a fee. The tour price includes round-trip airfare (departing from Chicago), seven overnight stays in hotels with private bathrooms, complete European breakfast daily, five dinners, full-time bilingual EF tour director, and select guides and entrances to special attractions. Tour participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the departing airport (Chicago), passports, lunches, some dinners, tips, insurance, and other fees.

The tour is open to everyone in the community. It is being coordinated by EF Tours, a reputable company with many years of experience in coordinating tours for high schools and colleges.

Early registration is strongly encouraged, as EF staff will not begin tour preparations until at least six people have signed up for the tour. Registration can be done via mail or online. When signing up, a participant must pay a $95 enrollment fee. At that point, two payment options are available.

The deadline to register for the tour is 95 days prior to departure, at which time payment would be due in full.
