MANISTIQUE – The women of Manistique First United Methodist Church will hold their monthly pasty sale Oct. 10 and 11, at the church, 190 N. Cedar St.

TOPS club celebrates 45 Years of weightloss

MANISTIQUE – The TOPS (Take off Pounds Seriously) recently celebrated its 45th year.

The present officers are: Deb Leblanc, leader, 29 years; Marcie Chandler, co-leader, 44 years; Kathy Selling, secretary, 20 years; Joanne Rutherford, treasurer, six years; Jean Selling, weight recorder, 45 years; Jeanne Jenerou, co-weight recorder, 33 years; Ella Carley, assistant to everything, 44 years.

The club meets every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church.

RSVP Volunteers Honored at Luncheon

RSVP honors program volunteers in event

MANISTIQUE – The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program honored members on Sept. 18. The luncheon and festivities were held at the Comfort Inn in Manistique.

Theresa Nelson, RSVP director, awarded a 50 Hour Pin to Eleanor Russey.

A Certificate of 300 plus hours was presented to Donnalea Phinney for her 317 hours.

Holiday auction set

GARDEN – The second annual Holiday Silent Auction will be held at the Village Artisans in Garden, on Dec. 8. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.

Auction items will be on display for bidding until 8 p.m.
