VA clinics offer flu shots

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain and VA Clinic in Manistique have scheduled free walk-in flu shot clinics to veterans enrolled in the VA’s health care system.

The Manistique VA Clinic will offer the flu vaccinations on Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Iron Mountain VA Medical Center has scheduled flu shots Monday through Friday, Sept. 24 to Oct. 12 (excluding Columbus Day) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CDT) each day, and Oct. 15 to 19 from 8 a.m. until noon. There will be extended late clinics until 6 p.m. on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.

No appointment is necessary. Veterans may also request the flu shot at their regularly scheduled doctor’s appointments.

Veterans may also call (800) 215-8262 (press “1”, then press “2”) to confirm vaccine availability and walk-in clinic dates.
