The beginner level class will be held on Oct. 13 from 1 – 3:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of The Redeemer, 314 Main Street. Cost for the class is $41 for LECAC members and $45 for non-members. The price includes all needed supplies.

Zentangles are an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. Participants will learn the beginning steps of Zentangles, using 3.5 inch square cardboard tiles, pencils, and fine line Micron markers.

In addition to learning many of the “tangles” or patterns, Raboin will also teach shading, ways to enhance the patterns, and variations, and participants will leave with two completed tiles as well as additional tiles, pencils, and markers to continue exploration of this art form.

Registration for the Zentangle class closes on Oct. 6 or when it reaches the maximum capacity of 16.

Adults or teens are welcome to register. Contact Lucia Leonardelli at (906) 283-2008 or Stephanie Reese at (906) 283-1001 for more information or go to the Lake Effect website at www.lakeeffectarts.org.
