Arlan J. King
He was born June 24, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the son of Dale and Glada (Fender) King and was a graduate of Middleville High School in Middleville, Mich.
On April 12, 1969, he married the former Trudy L. Mead in Caledonia, Mich. They lived in the Grand Rapids area and moved to Steuben in 1979.
Arlan worked at C & O Railroad and Lescoa Co. in Grand Rapids and later worked as a boiler tender at Manistique Dimensions upon moving to the Manistique area.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and mushrooming. He was a faithful Detroit sports fan and loved watching sports on TV.
Arlan is survived by his wife, Trudy L. King of Steuben; sons, Perry King of Steuben, Jeromy King of Steuben and Dale (Mary) King of Manistique; daughter, Stacy King of Marquette, Mich.; granddaughters, Catherine and Emily King of Manistique; step-grandchildren, Jeremy and Steven Tritten of
Ishpeming, Mich.; mother, Glada King of Manistique; and his sisters, Mary Poll of Middleville and Bonnie (Harold) Price of Ludington, Mich.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen King.
Private services are being planned for a later date by his family.
