Bay to hold voter fair

Election information, registering available

ESCANABA – Bay College will conduct a Voter Registration Drive and Political Campaign Fair as part of annual Constitution Day activities.

Although Constitution Day is recognized annually on Sept. 17, the voter information event will be held on Sept. 18 at Café Bay on the Main Campus in Escanaba, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Officials from the offices of both Delta County Clerk Nancy Kolich and Escanaba City Clerk Robert Richards will be available to register first-time voters, answer questions, and confirm voter registration for all voters. Residents may apply for an absentee ballot, or see a demonstration of the Accu- Vote voting machines.

Members of the Delta County Democratic Party and the Delta County Republican Party will have election information available. Individual candidate campaigns will also have information available, and some candidates may be in attendance.

Non-partisan voter information will also be available from the League of Women Voters of Delta County and the Escanaba Branch of the American Association of University Women, as Bay College is an AAUW College/University Partner. The event is open to the public.
