Nagy makes debut


Mike Nagy Mike Nagy KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Emerald golf standout Mike Nagy will make his first appearance on the collegiate scene this weekend. He has made the top five play list for the University of Tennessee’s first tournament of the season, in the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic being played at The Farm Golf Club in Rocky Face, Ga.

The 24th annual tournament will be a three day, 54-hole event beginning on Sept. 7 and concluding on

Sept. 9.

Swinging the clubs for the “Volunteers” with Nagy, a freshman, will be seniors Rick Lamb and Jay Vandeventer, as well as juniors Brandon Rodgers and Marshall Talkington.
