Olga Johanna Anderson went to be with the Lord on Aug. 31, 2012. She had joyously celebrated her 100th birthday on April 10, 2012.

Olga was born on April 10, 1912, in Manistique, Mich., the daughter of John and Gunhild (Johnson) Olsen and was a lifetime resident.

On Nov. 27, 1938, the former Olga Olsen married Conrad Anderson in Manistique. They made their home and raised their family in Manistique. He preceded her in death in 1977. She was also preceded in death by her son, Conrad Anderson, Jr. in 2003.

Olga was a special blessing being a loving and caring wife and mother. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Manistique and at the time of her passing, was the oldest member. She taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir at Zion. She enjoyed playing in the Manistique Senior Swinger Band, painting, and cooking, as well as being involved with the local Easter Seal Society. Olga especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her loving, caring, gentle spirit and especially her wonderful cheery smile.

Mich.; nephews, Arne (Beverly) Olsen of West Bend, Wis., Carl (Judy) Lemminger of Menominee Falls, Wis.; nieces, Violet (Ray) Korzenowski of St. Paul, Minn., Jean (Don) Draves of Brookfield, Wis., Carol (the late Roger) Perleberg of Brookfield.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Messier- Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique.

Funeral services were held at 11 am, Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Hueter officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery.
