Foster grandparents plan in-service meet

MANISTIQUE – The Schoolcraft County Foster Grandparents Policy Advisory Council and in-service meeting will be held Sept. 14 at 10:45 a.m. in the Manistique Senior Center.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by the Menominee- Delta- Schoolcraft Community Action Agency. For more information, contact Director Mary Bunnin or Volunteer Coordinator Peggy Ramsden at (906) 786-7080.

United Methodist to hold pasty sale

MANISTIQUE – The women of Manistique First United Methodist Church will hold a monthly pasty sale on Sept. 12 and 13. The sale will take place in the church, located at 190 N. Cedar St.

Supplies are limited, early orders are suggested. Call 341- 6662 to place an order or for more information.

MDSCAA sets food distribution times

MANISTIQUE – The Menominee, Delta, Schoolcraft Community Action Agency will hold a distribution of the Family Commodity Food Program during the week of Sept. 10.

Distribution sites include: Garden, Sept. 12 at the Garden Community Center from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.; Manistique, Sept. 13 at the Manistique V.F.W. Hall from 9:30 a.m. until noon; and Germfask, Sept. 13 at the Germfask Township Hall from 9 a.m. until noon.

Preregistration is not necessary and is based on a self declaration process (qualified recipients are at 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines). Quantities are limited, and all products are available on a first come, first serve basis.
