Car show returns Saturday

Annual event will kick off Friday with night “cruise”

MANISTIQUE – Start your engines! The Manistique Merchant’s Association is bringing back its annual Car Show on Saturday. The show will take place in downtown Manistique from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Before the show, a “Friday Night Cruise” will kick off the event Friday at 6 p.m. Cars participating in the show will travel from the Lakeshore Shell Station through Manistique. There will also be the 4th annual Kewadin Car Show Friday night, with registration from 4 – 7 p.m.

On Saturday, registration begins at 8 a.m. Once the event starts, there will be various other attractions, including a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Kid’s Tractor Pull at 1 p.m., with registration at noon; a car “blow up” contest; bike auction; an Elk’s Chicken Barbeque all day; and a Big Bay de Noc Booster Club whitefish booth.

Prizes will be awarded to cars in various categories, such as “mayor’s choice” and “furthest driven”.

Also on Saturday will be a motorcycle show, coinciding with the car show.
