Charges land 2 in court

UPSET bust leads to 4 arrests, 2 charged

MANISTIQUE – Two Manistique residents have been arraigned on drug charges, following their arrest by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team. The arrests took place on July 18 in Manistique.

Chloe Forstner, 29, and Milton Herro, 52, were arraigned Tuesday in 93rd District Court. Forstner was charged with one count of delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance and one count of delivery of a controlled substance on school property. She is scheduled to appear in a preliminary hearing on Aug. 1 at 1 p.m.

Herro was charged with three counts of delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance, as well as a habitual offender, fourth offence charge. He is scheduled to appear in a preliminary hearing on Aug. 1 at 2 p.m.

According to a press release from UPSET, Forstner and Herro were among four individuals arrested on July 18. The location of the other two arrested individuals is unknown, as multiple calls to UPSET have been unreturned.

The arrests are part of four separate investigations conducted by UPSET over the past six months, according to the release. The agency states they expect more arrests to be forthcoming.
